This segment will introduce framework for the mediation
process as an advocacy tool.
Under New York's MCLE rule, this transitional program has

Description:
The focus surrounding this session will be impasse breaking
techniques and enhancing relationships developed through the
mediation process to move the matter to resolution after the
mediation event.

been approved for 3.5 credit hours in skills for all
attorneys including those newly admitted.

SESSION # 4: November 8, 2007 • 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM
Description:
Learn the skills of how to be a successful court appointed
mediator. Throughout the session there will be a discussion
on the skills involved in becoming a successful mediator
along with the cultural and gender issues that might impact
the negotiation process within the context of mediation.
Under New York’s MCLE rule, this transitional program has
been approved for 2.0 credit hours in skills for all
attorneys including those newly admitted.

New York State Bar Association members may apply for a
discount or scholarship to attend this program based on
financial hardship. This discount applies to the educational
portion of the program only. Under that policy, any member
of our Association who has a genuine basis of his/her
hardship, if approved, can receive a discount or
